Institut de Recerca i Innovació en Ciències de la Vida i la Salut a la Catalunya Central
The IRIS-CC is a Private Foundation that governs, directs, and manages the Institute for Research and Innovation in Life Sciences and Health in Central Catalonia. It is the result of a strategic alliance between 14 academic and health institutions in Central Catalonia and its area of influence.
The Faculty of Medicine, apart from sharing its headquarters with the IRIS-CC in the Can Baumann building, collaborates closely with the Institute as part of the IRIS-CC projects and lines of research, which include: biomedicine, clinic, epidemiology and public health, aging-chronicity, care and innovation, as well as other cross-disciplinary programs such as applied health and sport sciences, data management, and social sciences and humanities applied to health.
